Images that inspire me (23): a civic society

Many times I think we should pass from an educational community (which involves teachers / professors, students, and parents) to an educational society (all social agents must ve involved in education and in fostering social values).
This is a fantastic example of a civic and educational society: Ribe, in Denmark.

Even more! In Denmark, live in houses is oriented towards the street. The social space is so important that people want to take maximum care of it... And they even decorate it! Houses look like shop windows, and inner decoration is focused to the street to make it more beautiful! They are proud of their own houses, and also of their social space, and they trust in the rest of the society and there's no need for alarms or bars to keep safe your house...

Images that inspire me (20): tools for kids education

A poster for motivating individual responsabilities and cooperation:
every colour is one of the family members;
the challenge:
they will win the prize when every kid wins 40 sticks in a week, and the total is minimum 80.
The recommended prize: an experience they desire too much, and that must be purposed by they all (they must agree, first). Eg. a family day in the beach or whatever.

The responsabilities are grouped in the same kind of set: eg. 1) set the table, do the washing up, cook... 2) do the laundry, tidy up own clothes, tidy up pijamas..

2015 - my second empathy map: a pharmacy clients

In august 2013 I coursed a MOOC organised by Stanford University / NovoEd. It was brilliant, and I learnt too much. One of the tools I learnt was the empathy map. I practised it once, but never again... until 2015.

In october 2010, a person I know told me that wanted to change his shop, because it was quite old and not confortable for clients. I asked him: "who is your target?" and he said: "everybody... well... I don't know...". I asked him again: "who do you want to be your client? you should design it thinking on that person profile...". After few days, he said: "I would like to keep my clients, but I would also like to add clients between 30s and 50s, because they never come in, and don't know why"...

Then, my brain activated and recovered what I learnt 2 years before: the interview and empathy map! I interviewed some people in that age, and I understood why they never went in, and what changes and services could do... It was awesome for them, for me and for my friend!

That shop owner decided to make many changes in his plans and design, and adapted it to the desired needs. Their result is fantastic!! they conserved their antique flavour, but they look modern and closed to the client, open! and also the satisfaction of their traditional clients is very high and have won new clients, between 30s and 50s years old!

This is a "handmade" present made by an 8 years old girl at her school... they just had to cut it and write down their names...

To me, this is also a single thought symbol.
